AMI Information
AMI (Association Montessori Internationale), founded in 1929, exisits, among other reasons, to uphold and continue the Montessori program
created by Dr. Maria Montessori.
Kinderhouse Montessori works closely with AMI to ensure that our program runs in compliance with the policies and the spirit of Montessori based education.
In order to be an AMI recognized school, there are many standards that must be met including:
- A complete set of AMI approved montessori materials in each classroom
- One AMI educated head teacher in each classroom
- An AMI consultation by an AMI trained consultant every three years
- A philosophical approach that is consistent with the AMI training
